The Bacchiglione River burst its banks on Monday in Vicenza after two days of heavy rain throughout the northern Italian region. The Ognisanti or All Saints Day holiday kept many cars off the streets today, but schools and many businesses will remain closed tomorrow due to the flooding. The Mayor has asked that people stay in their homes and don't use their cars until the water has receded.
